CELEBRATION OF LIFE AND THANKSGIVING
Our Sr. Augustine Paderna, SDS celebrated her 75th birthday of love and thanksgiving on August 28, 2015. It was also the feast of her patron saint, St. Augustine. Bishop Emeritus Deogracias Iñiguez, DD was the main celebrant. Close friends, relatives and the sisters came for the celebration. It was an intimate affair to thank God for all graces and blessings received by the birthday celebrant. Thank you, Sr. Gus for being a blessing to us too!
OUR NEW SOCIAL WORKER
Our Junior sister, Sr. Ruth Baguinon, SDS passed the Board Examination for Social Workers . Thanks to the grace of the Almighty and the hard work of Sr .Ruth. Thanks also to the sisters, friends and relatives who prayed for her. God bless you! A new chapter in your life begins, a new mission at SPCC!
REGIONAL ASSEMBLY 2015
“Rooted in our Life of Consecration with the Poor of God, We Journey Towards the Integral Growth of our Salvatorian Spirituality, Life and Mission” was the theme in this year’s Regional Assembly held on April 21-23, 2015 at Lebanon Shelter. It was Sr. Alona Onag, SDS, the new regional superior, officially welcoming the sisters.
As it has become a tradition now, an hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was devoted to honor GOD, our DIVINE SAVIOR on the eve of the Assembly. Creative liturgy/prayers were prepared by communities each day to provide an atmosphere of prayer, unity, co-responsibility and encounter with the Lord and one another.
Various issues and concerns of the unit were taken up, which include formation, vocation promotion, financial matters, well-being and many others.
