FEAST OF BLESSED MARY OF THE APOSTLES

IMG 0757On September 5, 2012, the sisters celebrated the feast of the co-foundress of the Congregation of the IMG 0752Sisters of the Divine Savior or Salvatorian Sisters. The good bishop of Alaminos, his Most Rev. Bishop Marlo M. Peralta, DD was the main celebrant during the Holy Mass with the Salvatorian Fathers headed by Fr. Hubert Kranz, SDS and Fr. Herman, SDS concelebrating.  Also present to concelebrate the Holy Eucharist were the Rogationist Fathers of Our Lady of the Pillar Parish in Saragosa, Bolinao, Pangasinan.

IMG 0750It was a wonderful, blessings-filled celebration.  People as far as Metro Manila and Dagupan came to witness the event.  The bishop's homily was profound and worth-reflecting.  He said that nowadays, people no longer need God.  The emergence of high technology gadgets, modernization of almost anything, led to people become more and more alienated from God.  Seemingly, people have everything they need at the tip of their fingers that no more they need God.  As Salvatorians, this is part of our mission.  To make people know that there is a God who longs for us and that our salvation is in God alone.  We have to remind people again the need for GOD.  We cannot live without God.  God is our way, our truth and IMG 0778our life.  HE IS OUR VERY LIFE!  No other.  May the intercession of Blessed Mary of Apostles help all of us to long for God more and more and to convey that message to others that nothing makes sense without God.  We need God and we need to depend more and more on Him.  It is also our way of telling Him how much we trust him.  Fr. Jordan and Blessed Mary of the Apostles showed us how to live a life totally dependent on God.
