REGIONAL CHAPTER & ASSEMBLY 2012

The Regional Chapter & Assembly was held from February 10-12, 2012 at the Lebanon Shelter Conference Room, New Manila, Quezon City. All sisters were present except Sr. Ma. Elisa Ranises who is presently on a mission in Rumania. The theme was: “Salvatorian Women: Mystical and Prophetic in our Suffering World”.

Sr. Irma Caumeran, SDS, regional superior, formally opened the Assembly and delivered a warm and inspiring welcome message. Sr. Mary Adeline Abamo was the first day’s facilitator followed by Sr. Alona Onag on the 2nd day. Sr. Eloisa Holdiem, new regional secretary, busily documented the whole program and activities.

Sr. Irma gave a report on the State of the Region while assigned sisters presented the Evaluation Report of their respective communities. This was to show the lights and shadows of the various aspects of religious and community life.

VISIT OF THE GENERAL SUPERIOR OF SALVATORIAN FATHERS TO THE PHILIPPINES

On January 30, we are so glad to welcome Fr. Andrew Urbanski, SDS, general superior of the SDS Fathers to our Regional House. He came to celebrate mass in our community chapel. In his homily during the mass, he especially mentioned his gratitude to the Filipino sisters for the help and support they gave to the SDS Fathers in the beginning of their foundation in the Philippines. The year was 1996.

Fr. Andrew was accompanied by Fr. Christopher Kowalczyk, SDS, superior of the SDS Fathers in the Philippines. Thank you, Fr. Andrew!

As we welcome the new year of 2012, we also welcome our new Regionalate Administration. The new team is headed by Sr. Irma Caumeran, SDS regional superior, elected for a second term, and her councilors: Sr. Eloisa Holdiem-vicaress, Sr. Alona Onag and Sr. Mary Adeline Abamo, SDS. The sisters in the region supports the new team in prayer and respect. The LORD BLESS YOU ALL!

The Regionalate team from 2009-2011 had given its best to serve the interest of the entire Region. The group was composed of Sr. Irma Caumeran, SDS regional superior and her councilors: - Sr. Mary Adeline Abamo, SDS. - vicaress, Sr. Alona Onag and Sr. Cecilia Dolosa. May we include also Sr. Ma. Cristina Tallud as part of the administration for her service as regional treasurer. The Sisters convey their sincere gratitude to the past administration for its great service to the Region.

DECEMBER 8: FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, 123rd FOUNDATION DAY, 25TH JUBILEE OF PROFESSION

On the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, principal patroness of the Congregation, the Region celebrated the 123rd foundation of the Congregation Sisters of the Divine Savior. On this same day, our Sr. Marianne Felisilda celebrated her 25TH JUBILLEE OF PROFESSION of Vows as a Salvatorian.

The main celebrant, His Excellency, Most Rev. Bishop Socrates Villegas, DD arrived almost an hour before the schedule of the Eucharistic celebration. Many family members, relatives, friends, co-workers and acquaintances from other congregations joined this wonderful celebration.
